lacheysgurl wrote:Also this. Endorsing cigars is bad. In current times smoking is not something to endorse. Seems silly to do that. Also gum, most schools have a no gum rule. Two wrongs. |

If we were living in the 80's I'd be all for it. I used to love puffing on those gum cigarettes. If you blew out of them, a puff of flour would come
out which was so cool.

The gum and chocolate ciggs were fun as a kid, and th eones w/ the flour junk that came out and looked like smoke.
Didn't make me want to smoke so um, assuming your parenting correctly and your kids know right/wrong.. I don't see a problem. |

is it right for one mom to decide that for the children of 22 other sets of parents?

i think a lot of the other parents wouldn't be ok with it. i would much rather my child have a cupcake or cookies, or something rather than a gum cigar.

I wouldn't personally give them out, but I used to buy candy cigarettes as a kid and I've never smoked anything in my life.

No! Giving gum to 20+ children at once would be a nightmare waiting to happen. Cupcakes or Munchkins would be good.
