They are packaged two together in a plastic bag. I'm guessing the warehouse person didn't know to break it apart. Hopefully they'll ship it back
from the store. I figured I'd try there first since I'll be at the mall today before I got on the phone with them.

No, I wasn't charged for two. It is a luggage scale.
Yes, I'm going to go and give it back. Either in the store or send it back. Whatever they tell me to do. Why? They made a mistake and I'm not going to keep something that I didn't pay for. |

I'm back and still have the extra one.
The store manager called corporate and they told her to let me keep it. Policy is to let the customer keep it if it $25 or less because of the hassle of shipping it back. IT was $30 and they made and exception. Guess I have a gift for someone  I don't know who but at least I don't feel guilty about having something I didn't pay for.

Do they do returns without a receipt there? I'd take it back and get a merch credit or exchange it for something I wanted.

I honestly hate people who do that. Don't get me wrong, it shows that you're classy and that your morals are in the rght place, but why go through all
the trouble? I mean, if it's extra money from a store or a bank, of course I'd return it back, as they'll get deducted from someone's salary.
However, you returning the item to Brookstone isn't going to benefit anyone. The SA might even be like "Okay?!" It's not like they're
hurting without you returning the item. Just keep it or give to someone as a Christmas gift!
