Do you experience pain in your ovaries at all times, or just when you apply pressure to them?

just during ovulation, or when having an internal exam and the dr. pushes on the ovary.

I didn't know I had them until I doubled over in pain - I didn't apply pressure or anything. I had the surgery because it was so painful.

It wasn't an unbearable pain, just more annoying cause it was there often. I'm pretty sure it burst on me and that was the mother of all pains, I
couldn't even stand up and walk, I had to crawl cause it hurt less.

I'm wondering if I have cysts. I get bad hormonal acne two weeks before my period and usually like 7-10 days before I get my period I notice when I pee, I
get kind of a cramping feeling. It's not an extreme pain but it sort of feels like when you've held your pee in for so long and you finally use the
restroom and how it can kind of cramp up when you pee. Could this be cysts?

Mine aren't painful, my symptoms are all around the hormonal stuff - acne, dodgy menstrual cycle etc

when i had mine i felt a pain in my right side and thought it was my appendix and turns out it was the cyst. it was more annoying and it made me bloated
because it was getting bigger, i had to have it surgically removed.

Every woman who ovulates get cysts, some just get them bigger and worse than others. Or they have a disease where they get multiple. I tend to get bigger cyst
that I bleed into and hurt like a B___h every once in awhile. I'll be doubled over some days.

birth control really keeps them in line. if you are off the pill for too long the pains will come back usually but for now it doesnt affect me

if you had a cyst burst, you would know it. you would have internal bleeding most likely and would need surgery. you should see a dr. ASAP if you are in pain.
My friend just lost an ovary because of a dermoid cyst. bad stuff dont mess with

Get it checked out and don't let doctors tell you nothing is wrong.
I had sharp pains while ovulating, but it would come and go. I had 2 doctors tell me nothing was wrong at all, maybe I slipped on the ice. But I definitely had a cyst (had it removed with an emergency surgery a few months after the drs. appointments). So definitely get it checked out with your obgyn. They usually can do an ultrasound and see what's going on. |
