I like the song but I think it would sound better with someone else singing it. I like Rihanna, but I don't think her voice suits the song.

The song is 2 minutes and change too long. All that dead space towards the end of 4 minutes and something was unnecessary. I also want to say Justin please
stop with the damn beat boxing. It's not cool. Hasn't been for a while now.It's played out. You have played it out. To be completely honest he
isn't a very good beat boxer to begin with. Enough already, damn.
 I'm not crazy about the song, but I get the feeling it will grow on me.
What's Justin connection to the Te Amo song? Did he have a hand in it, cause that's a song I loved right off the bat.

When I heard the instrumental, immediately I thought No.1 song. Now...it'll probably just do well because it's about Chris Brown. But, I think the
crescendo with the drums takes entirely too long...maybe radio will edit it so it's shorter. the song is 6 mins.
I feel like this song should be for someone else. Someone who sounds good with layered vocals. Someone who isn't so whiny. Someone who has a lilttle umph vocally. Someone...Beyonce, basically. Maybe even Alicia.
It's good stuff though. He and The Ys did a really good job. |

I really, really like this.
I love the production on this song. The slow builddup and the change in tempo with each verse makes it for a really intereresting listen. Add Rihanna's haunting vocals (She is not the best singer but she has a unique tone to her voice that just works), it is a mesmerizing song. I am not so sure about the last two minutes though. I liked it for a minute but it went on too long. Maybe if there had been vocals over it, or even Rihanna just chanting a few lines, it would have been better. I can see this being radio friendly if they edit it right. |

i actually love the song . at first i liked it and just thought what u are all thinking...it's too damn long and it picks up kinda hard. but now i just
plain love it. though her voice still irritates me a bit. i agree that it would've been better if Beyonce or Alicia sung it . but i love the song . from
what i've heard, probably the best song on her album . beside this one , i have a feeling i'm only gonna like Russian Roulette, Wait Your Turn ,
probably Rude Boy , Rockstarr , Photographs and that's about it. from what i've heard so far, those sound ok , though i'm not impressed. oh well.

I absolutely love this song. Rihanna isn't the best singer but I think her voice works on these kind of haunting songs. It doesn't feel too long to me
at all. I love love love the extended guitar and strings at the end. Probably my favourite part. I love when songs carry on like that though. It's probably
one of my favourite songs of her's and of those he's done for other people. Love it. I like Te Amo as well.

I am absolutely in love with "Cold Case Love." It's such a hauntingly, powerful song. I love the strings and the electric guitars in the second half of the song. After listening to the song about three times in a row, I can't believe I initially found the last two minutes boring. The whole song is just about
perfect, all 6 minutes of it.
This is probably Rihanna's best vocal performance ever in a song. She hits the perfect tone, emotion, sound here. Rihanna should have released this as her first single. It's far superior to Russian Roulette. Guys, this is a great song.
I am really impressed with Justin and the Y's production. This is a top notch work. |
