My mm has an A4 and the dude at the dealership told her that premium is definitely better for the engine. I don't know if the TT would be the same.

It's an Audi TT. Of course it takes premium.

I dunno! I've never had a car that needed premium gas

It's not "needed", just recommended. But then again, the same goes for every car, not just your TT.

Okay, but it's still your vehicle, yes? Wouldn't you want what's best for the engine of your vehicle?

Put regular in there and I'll bet you it'll still work.

My mom's Cadillac CTS says Unleaded only. She tried to put regular unleaded and it was sputtering. So, she only puts in premium now. Her Lexus RX350 says
to use premium. That, coupled with the ridiculous maintenance prices and my refusal to take my car anywhere besides the dealerships makes me never want to own
a luxury car.

I have a TT and it takes premium only. Unless you wanna eff up the engine and void out your warranty.

DoesThatSparkle wrote:Most modern cars have knock sensors that simply adjust the ignition if you're running non-premium fuel. So basically you're just going to lose some power if you aren't using premium fuel, but other than that it shouldn't really be harmful for the engine. |
