I'm so broke this year and don't feel like shopping or the crowds. Can I just skip Christmas this year?

If all goes according to plan, I may get my N900 by Christmas.

I'm not a big fan of Christmas. I always dread it because it means going over to my Aunts and seeing "family" that we only see at Christmas.
It's always awkward and uncomfortable. I'd rather just stay home

Between the day before Thanksgiving and January 2nd of the next year, I am always in a horrible funk. Something terrible happened during that time when I was a
teen, so I just hate the holidays. I pretend like they don't exist.

I don't want anything to do with Christmas this year. I don't want any presents, and I don't want to buy any.

I am undecided if I am looking forward to Christmas. I can't wait to decorate and to bust out my Christmas movies while drinking Silk "egg" nog.

It's gonna be the first one since my Grampy died, so no...I'm not looking forward to it.

I haven't been a fan of Christmas for a couple years now. The only part I like is giving my friends presents. Other than that, I HATE IT.

Christmas is not about shopping! It's about celebrating the birth of the Son of God, or other things people celebrate around that time of the year.
You could spend the day with someone you love, volunteer, lots of different things! Or just chill. But don't let the commercialization of Christmas affect you negatively because it is so much more than that! |

I really wish I could just skip it this year. Not just skip it, but fast forward from today and just have it be January 1, 2010 now.

I'm not. I don't like being around my extended family during the holidays. I love them and all, but I haven't enjoyed our holiday gatherings in
years. It doesn't help that my abuela died on Thanksgiving of 2004. Honestly, I just want to marry into a great family so I can spend all my holidays with
them.

My roommate is visiting her grandma for Christmas so I'm not putting up the tree or pulling out any of the decorations. I'm broke so I've told
everyone not to get my anything, though I know they aren't listening, and everyone knows I don't have money to buy gifts this year.
