I was thinking about the whole junior type name. I don't really particularly like it but I know if it meant something to my husband I would do it no
problem. It seems to be really important to some guys. I know in my family the first boy has always been named after either the father or the fathers father. I
don't get it. Never have, but when it comes right down to it I would do it too. would any of you say no? I feel like you can't to that.

I'm not fond of the jr thing but if my husband really wanted a jr I would allow it.

I love the Jr. thing. Then again, my brother is Richard IV so I might be biased.

If I didn't like my husband's name I wouldn't.

I did it.
It's a family tradition on my husbands side. |

I draw my line at passing names down. there will be NO juniors of any kind in my family. |

Depends on the name. If it happens to be a name I like I'm all for it because I like very, very few names to begin with.

I'm a Jr. PLEASE don't do that to your kid. All it does is create confusion and shit.

And to avoid confusion, they create stupid nicknames like "Little Joey."

My husband is not only a Junior, but he's a Junior that goes by his middle name! He experienced nothing but confusion and frustration growing up because
some people would call him by his first name, others would call him by his middle...
So to answer your question, I don't think we'll be naming our kid after him. It's too much trouble. |

Depends on whether or not I love my dudes name or not. For the most part, I would want my child to have his own identity, thus his own name.

My husband has a very typical and kind of goofy finnish name, so no and I'm not into the junior thing anyway

When we have a boy, he will have my husbands middle name. That's a tradition, and we have talked about it and neither of us like Juniors.

Well my s/o doesn't have a terrible name, but thankfully he's never indicated to me that he wants a Jr. If he does, I guess we'll just cross that
bridge when we get there?

No, but it's a family tradition to use the father's first name as the baby's middle name. I'm ok with that. So I still get my choice of first
names!

I did - but we did a different middle name. The main reason is that we don't like my husbands middle name, but also so that my son could have a part of his
name from my side of the family.
