I have the Dare and I'm on my 4th phone -- I keep having to get them replaced. The usual rule is if it's replaced 3x they will let you pick another
phone of similar price for free and give you that. If I ask them to just let me upgrade to the Droid for the sale price, do you think they will let me do that
even though I have a year left on my contract? (Yes, I went through 4 broken phones in 1 year! That's crazy!)

In my experience, if you're halfway through your contract, you get half off the original price. But they seem to change their policy for every single
customer so I have no idea. It couldn't hurt to call and ask.

Because the Dare is a piece. I'm on my 3rd and have had it since February. I wish I never would have got it.

You should be able to get the droid for the 199. paying 299 and getting the 100 back in rebates. I was looking to do that last weekend. My upgrade isn't up
till May and that's what they told me. I however, am not having issues with my Dare. (knock on wood) first phone in years , I haven't had a problem
with. I really like what I saw of the droid but I prefer the dare's texting keyboard. I would give customer service a call before going to the store and
explain your problem and see what they will do for you. the droid, though seems to be very popular and verizon doesn't need to give away anything to get
people to buy it, so they may not be as likely to give any kind of incentive right now. You should be able to just get it and sale price and just renew your
two year contract but you would lose your new every two money . Work the problems issue and that it giving you a difficulty and it's third one and they may
just work the deal. depends who you get on the phone. I usually get very good customer service from them when I call.
