Today, the cashier scanned my pesto sauce then said oh presto sauce.
I hate that crap and was just like

I hate when cashiers comment on what I'm buying.

I know what you mean. I pay you to scan my stuff, not comment on them.

The last two times I bought a movie in Target both cashiers have asked if I saw the movie, when I said no, they said it was good and I'd like it/it was
cute. I don't mind that kind of comment. Now if they had said the movies suck that's a different story lol.

Someone told me I was spending too much money on a hair brush once. I was not impressed.

I really don't mind if someone says something like "Oh Pesto sauce". But if they start telling me a story about how their grandmother made the
best pesto sauce in the world but she died last year and no one has the recipe so it's lost forever and store brands just aren't the same...that I mind

You're not very friendly.
I don't have a problem with it unless it's something like XOctoberMoonX said. |

I have never had anyone say anything rude about what I am buying. It just seems to me that they try to be friendly and make conversation any way they can. |

Yeah, the other day I went to Wal-Mart to pick up some things and the guy who rung me up asked how I was doing, and I was like, "Good thanks" and as
he was scanning the box of condoms he goes "I can tell you're doing realll good"

I don't mind the comments, as long as they don't criticize what I'm buying. I had this one cashier criticize a nail polish that I was buying,
recently. As a former cashier, I did not comment on items unless it was to tell them that I love a certain item, but I didn't extent it into a
conversation.

Geez... they are human, too, you know. I'm sure it gets tedious standing there for hours on end and moving stuff from point a to point b. They are just
making conversation and trying to friendly.

I had a cashier at Wal-Mart ask me why I was buying so much salad and that I should get some protein as well, it can't be good to eat that much salad. I
thought ok that's rude, but then he continued to tell me that he was wearing (latex) gloves because he cut himself on a can, was sick and just had the
worst time, going to the bathroom (a lot), coughing, runny nose, but he was still there...as he's bagging up my groceries!
I asked for a manager real quick, I was so disgusted with everything about him. |

I don't mind comments but if I get a magazine and then they start to pick it up look at cover and flip through it then that's a little to much for me

I hate that too. Only time I don't mind it is like if a buy a shirt and they comment on it but other than that, I could do without the comments. And this
is coming from a cashier....

When I worked in the photo lab at CVS, I had a huuuuge crush on one of my customers. He was a personal trainer and oh so good looking. Well, not only did I get
to see nude pics of his ass (some playful pics..thanks to his girlfriend lol), but he would occasionally purchase magnum condoms. I had to fight myself from
blushing.
I NEVER commented, though! |

Out of line much?
