cannot believe how big they've become. i remember i saw the killers at this pretty tiny venue right before/around the time their first album came out (the
Great American Music Hall in SF), and i NEVER thought they would become this internationally successful group playing stadiums and such. so weird! i just
thought they were "ok."
OTOH, other bands that i've seen over the years and thought would go on to superstardom (like Suede) never really broke. good think i'm not in the music industry cos i clearly have no feel for what the general public will latch onto! |

I like The Killers alot but he used to be so awkward in the early days when they would perform live, turning his back to the audience and never looking at the
audience. Watching this performance, he's come really far.

Wow, that does seem pretty epic. I'm not a big Killers fan but I imagine that was a fucking phenomenal atmosphere. I didn't realize they were that
