Brad Pitt and Edward Norton get a makeover
8 hours 41 mins ago
Back then, opinion was split due to the film's violent nature, but despite poor box office performances, Fight Club later turned into a big hit when it was released on DVD. In celebration of the film's 10th anniversary, Fox Home Entertainment have given it a facelift with the new Blu-ray edition. Director David Fincher took it on himself to oversee the transition process. Besides having all the bonus material which is already included on the DVD, the edition offers some new extras, including two interactive features. A Hit In The Ear: Ren Klyce and the Sound Design of Fight Club gives users the opportunity to remix the audio of some key scenes. Another tool is the Insomniac Mode: I Am Jacks which lets viewers jump to any part of the disc's extensive bonus material. Other extras include behind-the-scenes footage with David Fincher, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton accepting the Guy Movie Hall of Fame honor for Fight Club at SPIKE TVS 2009 GUYS CHOICE Awards, as well as plenty of commentary by all lead actors and the director. Fight Club on Blu-ray is out November 23.

Tarantino's Nazi villain storms Hollywood
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "The better the dog, the busier you have to keep him." That was the advice a dog trainer, of all people, gave Christoph Waltz, the Vienna-born actor who won the top acting prize at Cannes for his role as the eerily deliberate Col. Hans Landa in "Inglourious Basterds." Now he's keeping busy. Very busy. Sporting a beard for his new role as the villain in "The Green Hornet," the 53-year-old actor is co-starring in a major studio film and fielding offers for everything from star parts to A-list parties. He appears somewhat bemused to be invited to events and roundtables with the likes of Nicolas Cage
and Morgan Freeman, but his confidence in his
own skill is apparent.
Now he's found that ideal with Landa. It was a piece of casting that director Quentin Tarantino considered so essential for his film that he was almost ready to give up on the whole project, having spent more than $1 million of his own money to develop it, after weeks of failing to find the right actor. Then Waltz walked in and Tarantino knew he could make his movie. "I consider myself one of very few who get the chance to have that experience," Waltz says. "(But) it would be completely presumptuous, or,
in a way, childish, or rather infantile to expect that could happen again and again."
Thanks to the richness of Landa's character, those directors probably have him on their list of actors to watch. Luckily for Waltz, he isn't simply fielding offers to play SS men. "Nobody's talking about that. I get interest coming my way from many different directions. I'd hate to pigeon-hole myself. The variety is what's interesting." No, he says, he won't be playing any more Nazis. But he does hope to make more Hollywood films. "In Europe, everybody would say, 'Well, they just want to squeeze you like a lemon.' Well, yeah! But, you know, if I have the juice, why shouldn't they?" |

First Salt Poster With Angelina Jolie
Monday, November 16, 2009 2:24PM By Krystal Clark
A couple of weeks ago we finally got to see Angelina Jolie in her latest action flick Salt, when a teaser trailer popped up online. Now, thanks to the folks over a Joblo, the movie's first poster has been revealed and it's kind of scary. It begs the question, "Who is Salt," and none of us know, so we'll have to go watch the movie to find out. Check out the full size poster below…
Her eyes scare the living shit out of me in this poster. In no way, shape, or form is it normal to have pupils like that. For some odd reason, her character looks like a hybrid between Aeon Flux and Ultra Violet. Does anyone else see that as a possibility? In the film Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a government agent who's forced to prove her innocence when she is accused of being a Russian sleeper spy. She goes on the run to find out who's behind her set up, and uses her special ops training to get information. Salt hits theaters in the summer of 2010 and is directed by Phillip Noyce.
What do you think of the poster for Salt?

Robert De Niro's Dream Co-Star: Angelina JolieRobert De Niro can't get enough of Angelina Jolie. The actor, 66, tells "Extra" Jolie, 34, is one of the actors he'd "love to work with."
"It depends on the project [who would be] at the top of my list... wonderful actresses," De Niro says. He and Jolie co-starred in the 2006 period drama "The Good Shepherd." See Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's most romantic moments Also on his list? "Helen Mirren," he says. De Niro wouldn't mind collaborating with rapper 50 Cent off-screen, he says. "We had some good conversations, and he's a smart guy," De Niro says. "He was very smart about what he was telling me." (De Niro says he may even try rapping. "You never know," he tells "Extra.") De Niro also jokes about Matt Damon's weight gain for the comedy "The Informant." He says Damon didn't reach out for advice on packing on the pounds -- even though he famously put on 60 pounds for "Raging Bull." "He knows how to gain weight. We all know how to gain weight," De Niro says. "It's easy!" Adds Kirk Jones, the director of De Niro's newest flick, "Everybody's Fine" (out Dec. 4), "Getting it off is the hard part!"
