So we were planning to throw a surprise party for our friend. And like everything is prepared and the food is bought. And now he says he possibly will not
come.
how do we make him come without telling him about the surprise? |

You secretly tell him.

haha, I ALWAYS almost miss my own surprise parties. My friends get really vehement about making sure I come, and I end up giving in because I don't like
conflict. Thank goodness!
You might want to tell him that he needs to pick up someone or he's on the route for the carpool or something along those lines. Guilt him into going. |

Could the person hosting the party say that their car broke down & they need this person to give them a lift somewhere? Or say they need to borrow something and need said item to be dropped off? |

the problem is that the reason why he is not possibly coming is not cause doesn't want. it id something connected with his work schedule, so he'll have
to really try hard to come

What does he do? Can you possibly talk to his boss, or maybe a few of his co-workers (that aren't invited) to see if they can cover for his absence?

Don't contact his boss, that's not appropriate.
