Barnes & Noble? I'd love it! Walmart? Not so much.
Would you be upset if your S/O got you a gift card

It would depend on where the gift card was from.

I wouldn't really care as long as it wasn't the only thing he EVER gets me. Something a little more sentimental or something he remembers I liked once
in a while would be nice too.

I think a gift card can actually be thoughtful - if he knows you like a particular store but wants to make sure you get something you really want, I think
that's actually a nice thought.
Especially if it's a store that's maybe a little more expensive and you don't get there to shop a lot - somebody did that for me once and I was so happy. |

I would prefer a gift card. That way, I could use it for something I want.

Nope, as long as it wasn't to a fast food joint. My husband usually fills my Xmas stocking with gift cards.

I wish my husband would just give me a gift card! At least I could buy what I want instead of lying to him and pretending I like whatever ugly piece of jewelry
or stinky perfume he gets.

Nope. I also struggle with gift giving, so I wouldn't care.

Gift certificates for a massage or mani/pedi are always nice. I wouldn't be mad about that. I actually love getting gift cards.

Depeends on the certificate, if it was to a place I love then no way would I be upset.
I'm a bit older now, and well the " heart felt gifts" aren't always things i want and they just take up space. I guess i'd rather just buy for myself. I get more out of spending time with him and doing things with him than the stuff he buys for me anyway. |

Nah, I wouldn't be upset. But I doubt he would get me a gift card anyway.

It has happened. I got a gift card & a sweater that was 2 sizes too small as Xmas gifts last year.
Honestly, he didn't even try.
