This might be the first black friday in years that I don't get up at 3am to go shopping, I might just sleep in. I just don't see anything worth losing
sleep for yet.

Nah, there's nothing I really want. My mom's going to Target first and I can't go in anyways, so...I've lost my enthusiasm.

Uh, I doubt it. I see more people whining about them than saying good things.

It's just sad because I LOVE shopping on BF but this year it just doesn't seem worth it.

Nothing really great this year, but I'll still go out because it's tradition and my sister needs a netbook for my niece so I'll go to help her get
one. Plus half the fun for us is to go sit out in front of a store in the middle of the night waiting for a super early sale, even if it's not for things
we could live without. It's just something we always do and even if we don't go out for huge items, we usually get some of the things we were planning
to get anyway, any discount or savings is going to help.

I cannot fathom how anyone finds BF fun in any way at all. I find shopping fun and BF's swarms of idiots even takes that away from me.

I don't know it just is, just personal reasons I guess, it's a bonding experience for my mom, sister and I and no matter what crap any of us are going
through we forget about and just sit and talk and laugh and spend a day away from our problems. We don't push, fight, trample others for any
"deals" on BF, whatever you get you get and it's just more lighthearted for us. I don't except other people to understand, but it's
something we've been doing for 10 years and I guess it's more than just shopping.

I'm not impressed either but I'm still going. There's a couple things I want but the ads definitely aren't great.

I'm never impressed by the ads. Most of it is just cheap shit anyways. I effin' hate Black Friday....but I guess that's what 6 years in retail does
to a person.

popdontstop7684 wrote:I get it too. Under normal circumstances, I HATE crowds and people in general, but my sister and I always make our way to BF even though we say we won't do it ever again. The ads are always mediocre, so it's the unadvertised and impulse buys that we love. I think Toys R Us is great this year, but if you don't have kids it means nothing. |
