Backstory: My fiance's mom has been looking at wedding gowns, as has my mom. My fiance's mom had someone in her family who bought a wedding dress back
in 40s or 50s and never got to use it. I've never seen it, only got a picture of it.

I love the style. The train is detachable, so you don't have to wear it. I am definitely not having a train.

Have you tried it on? Maybe you should try it on? I think if you are a bit shorter than the mannequin (so
that it is floor length) and providing you have NO HIPS WHATSOEVER it could look pretty elegant.
Basically, if you can get it to fit like the green dress in Atonement it could be beautiful. If you have an hourglass figure, then its just not going to look right because of the drop waist.

I actually kind of like the top. i can't see it well but it looks like lace? I like lace.

Depends on what your body type is. It could look elegant on someone who is tall and thin but dowdy on a shorter, curvier person.
