I got a coupon in the mail from Target saying that I can get 10% the rest of the stuff on my registry for one full day. My husband and I are already planning
on shopping on Black Friday there, so we figured we would just get stuff then. Couldn't I add more stuff to my registry and get the 10% off?

It depends on the store. It doesn't fly at my store.

how would they know though? I mean if I added it online, how would they know I added the stuff before I got the coupon?

It's pretty obvious if you come in and you're buying lcd tvs and whatnot that it's not for a baby registry. We had some lady come in after adding a
ton of electronics/etc to it and it turned into a whole argument and corporate had to be called. Corporate told us not to process it in the end.
I don't work the front of the store so I'm not sure of the ins and outs of it, I just know there was some big meeting about it when it started happening and I only went for the snacks. |

Well its a wedding registry, I just gott married 3 weeks ago, and I wasn't gonna add like stuff that's on deal for Black Friday, I wrote that wrong. I
just meant we are going next week. I wanted to add like cleaning supplies and stuff that wouldn't look like it shouldn't be on you know? Like I forgot
to put down a blender for example....

Give it a shot, I guess. Everyone is going to be so busy on bf that I doubt anyone would notice. Most stores aren't policy nazi's like the
gstl's/gsa's at my store.

I don't understand this post. Didn't you already get married? You're adding new things to your registry and then buying them yourself in-store?
That seems really weird.

Just open a Redcard. You get 10% off your total purchases for the day, and for every 1000 you spend you get a 10% off coupon.

Stores usually let the bride and groom buy off (at a discount!!) the rest of their registry that no one else bought for them..

AudaciousAudrey wrote: Most times stores you registered with will mail you a coupon after your wedding so you can go and purchase stuff at a discount that is left on your registry that you didn't receive. I think this is what she is referring to. So she's wanting to add some more items that weren't originally on her registry since she now has a coupon and can potentially go purchase those items with the coupon also. |

Can you even edit your registry after the event date?

The system may automatically not recognize the items added after the coupon was printed, if it assigns your registry a different barcode after you edit it.
Idk.

baseballdiva wrote: This made me LOL. All the Targets around me hate coupons of any kind. If I have more than two or so the clerk will scrutinize every single one like the company is taking it out of their paycheck or something. If I know I am going to have more than a few coupons I take a copy of the coupon policy with me and I have still heard "Well just this one time we will let you use it". These are Target coupons from the Target website for the product listed and in complete compliance with the Target coupon policy. They really hate them though. My Targets would probably call security and show you the door if they thought you were trying to slip something by them like that .

Target recently revised the coupon policy to alleviate some of those problems. I've never done that to people though, unless they're complete assholes
to begin with. For the most part I like to get transactions over as soon as possible so I can move on with my life, I'll hit the accept key without even
thinking about it most of the time.
