That's very nice of you to ask her. I went to school pretty far from home and my roommate invited me to spend weekends with her family occasionally. It
lifted my spirits a ton.
I feel super bad for my roommate, she can't go home for

I always did that with my roommate for Thanksgiving. She actually could've gone home, but she didn't really want to because her mom died right before
we started college, so I invited her to my mom's. We had an aweeesome weekend.

It would be a super nice thing to do, but please ask permission from whoever is hosting Thanksgiving. I've learned that, in situations like these, people
can be hella weird about strangers coming into their homes.

That wouldn't be weird at all. I know a lot of ppl that invite others to their family's Thanksgiving if they are by themselves.

The dorms on my campus close over Thanksgiving break, so people are forced to go somewhere.
It's really nice that your school is accommodating like
that.

That would be super nice. I know that over the years I'd have friends that were out of state and didn't go home for Thanksgiving so I'd take them
home with me. The same goes for some hockey players that I know who are kind of abandoned in the city when they have games the next day with no family in town.
