I got the TomTom One for my mom last year and it's great. I like it a lot more than I like my Garmin.

I got a TomTom last year for Christmas and I love it. (I was always getting lost pre-GPS) I've loaned it to friends and family members and now they all
want one too.

Thanks! Now I'm just hoping that one is available on walmart.com because I don't even like stepping foot in a walmart on a regular day, let alone BF

Do you have to upgrade the maps a lot? I see that you get charged after the first time :-\

I have the Tom Tom One XL and I like it. Sometimes it screws up but overall it's good

Yep! They're great. I know a lot of people who have one and we also have one.

I think tomtom is the best you can get. It's so user friendly and really accurate!

I like my old roommate's TomTom, but it's hell to get them to update the maps. Streets are missing, and it kept telling me to exit the highway onto a
street that's never existed and would have involved me pulling off directly onto an access road and then up a hill. She's told them about a street,
emailed a picture of it on Google maps, etc., for over a year once a week, and it's never been added.
That being said, I used it in Boston to go see my brother and turned too late once, and it had me redirected and back on track in two minutes. |

The brand is known for being cheaper cost wise but how good the GPS is depends on the model you buy.

Magellan! My Magellan hates Miami but I think most GPSs hate Miami.
