I'm making them for the producers party at work tomorrow! This is just a handful of them.

Whoa! I've never made these because of the calories, but you have inspired me.

It takes a lot of practice. I made mine three times before they looked semi-professional.

Yes, this is my 4th or 5th batch I've ever made. I think it was also the chips. I used Ghiradelli Semi Sweet chips rather than the kroger everyday brand.
I also melted the chips very slowly according to the instructions on the bag of chocolate chips. I'm sticking to this brand of chocolate! |

I had a hard time dipping them in the chocolate. I stuck them on the end of a tooth pick at first but they were too heavy and fell right off. I finally figured
out that just putting them in a bowl of chocolate and then rolling them around with a spoon worked best. Although, they didn't quite look like the OP's
lol.
How did you do yours? |

Same idea, but I used 2 forks. I plopped them into the chocolate in my makeshift double boiler (2 sauce pans, lol) and then I'd scoop little bit and kind
make a circle with the fork above the oreo ball so it as it dripped on the oreo, it swirled. Then I lifted the truffle from the bottom on each side.
It worked most of the time. Also, If you use wax paper, as I have in the past, don't. Parchment made it a bit easier, didn't stick as badly. |

Hp Gal, if you're near Cincinnati, you can come have some tomorrow night, as I'll be giving them out.
