Ashley and Jacob's acting were better too and I didn't mind either of them. I still thought Rob and Kristen were terrible. And I like them both. Rob has no expression and never looks Kristen in the eyes. And Kristen's acting consists of shaky breathing and choking sounds the entire. Damn. Time. There were also quite a few scenes where the theater was laughing and the scenes were definitely not supposed to be funny! I did like the humans though, they were great. Overall I liked it, but I don't know. I think I liked Twilight better. Probably because I didn't really like this book. Edited By: Jess116005 11/20/2009 7:25 AM. Edited 1 times.

You know, instead of the blue. Anyways, I'm a total Team Jacob now. Bella did him dirty and I'm gonna stick with that. Plus, he's way hotter than Edward.

Of course there was some things like wtf, but I actually enjoyed seeing with the full theatre at midnight, they clapped at first and I was like Oh no but it wasn't annoying or anything, we actually all laughed at the same places. And I'm glad my whole theatre was Team Edward fully, when Jacob came on first when they are in parking lot, everyone laughed, then when he takes off his shirt to help Bella after the incident, it was so unnecessary and cheesy everyone LOL'ed. So some points laugh worthy even if we weren't supposed to. Some parts too cheesy but Weitz followed the books so closely so it made sense. I love you can actually see Alice why she's Bella's best friend. Like it didn't make much sense in Twilight. The running in woods as vampires was complete fuckery to me, all cinema filled with laughs. Now the actual comedy scenes were great! I love love Mike, he's amazing, Jessica as well, her rant about zombies and Charlie, I need me some more Charlie. Overall I loved it and surely will go to see it again, it was filled with loads of events and it didn't drag at all in those two hours so I'm glad. Kristen did an amazing job with Bella.

It was a definite upgrade from the first film- Catherine really just got her ass handed to her with this one- but I don't know if I just think it was awesome because Twilight was horrible. It really made me feel for Jacob but that's because Lautner played him well and he isn't half as annoying as he is in the books! Thought the majority of the make-up/contacts was good but that Edward's was horrible- the lipstick was just too much. I'm an Edward/Bella fan so I wish they had been able to tie the story back to the two of them by the end of it. Someone mentioned it on livejournal and I have to agree- they make Jacob much much more likable in the movie. There's no way to tell that his promises of never going to leave Bella and stuff are empty because they have made no mention of imprinting yet in the movies. I still think that Kristen is a horrible actor but she did improve a bit with New Moon. (I have a pet peeve about actors who have to do crying scenes but can't muster any water to fall out of their eyes!) I really wish she'd been able to get the water works going. Alice's vision was so campy it made the whole theater laugh! Love the spin on the main titles in the beginning and that they kept the same opening scene from the book with Bella as an old woman. My friend who doesn't read the books even loved it. I also loved how they invented that idea of Bella writing emails to Alice. They really established their bond this time around and it was one of the things that I really loved in the books but didn't get to see Twilight. I'm also SO glad that they fixed the sparkling effect and that Edward doesn't just look like a weird sweaty guy anymore, haha. I'm glad Rob's work with his facial expressions has improved too. The look on his face when he tells Bella that he doesn't want her anymore literally had some people in the theater gasping and saying "Ouch!" I'm really nervous about what David Slade's going to do with Eclipse. I hope they can someone how get Chris Weitz to come back for Breaking Dawn. I think he's the only one I trust right now to make any sense of that foolishness! Hopefully going to see New Moon again during the weekend so I can resolve all of these thoughts. Posts: 7894 (11/20/2009 9:02 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I too found myself going towards Team Jacob during the movie but then of course when Alice came back to Forks I started getting giddy again and then of course the phone call from Rome I was all back to Team Edward. There are two parts of this movie that really irked me. The first time seeing the transformation of the wolf when Sam goes to Attack Laurent was kinda cheesy. Other than that ONE transformation the rest of the wolf effects were AWESOME. And second was when Alice had her vision of Bella being turned into a Vampire and they showed her and Edward skipping through a field holding hands...TOOOOO cheesy!! But on positive notes again.....I LOVED the fighting parts of the movie!!!! When watching the warewolfs fight or watching the Volturi and Edward fight at the end....I was cringing during those parts!!!

Also, another thing that pissed me off in New Moon is that Bella did not cry once. I have a hard time believing someone is a depressed, tortured soul if they don't even cry one time. Edward even looked like he was crying in the one part at Volterra.

The acting from the entire cast improved tremendously, it was definitely the director. The middle dragged for me a bit. It felt like a really long movie. I guess cause it was very true to the book and I hated the book so it was only natural. I don't think I'm watching this again. lol. I was going to go again Saturday but it just felt WAY too long. I wanted it to end already. I don't blame the actors, or the the director, just the story. That's the way it was written. Hated it then, hate it now. Btw, Team Edward all the way. Some are switching teams because Jacob is buff now. If that's the reason you're switching it's completely hilarious to me. If you like muscles Go Team Emmett that guy is way buffer, taller and just over all hotter. You'd swear some of these girls have never seen a guy with muscles in their life.

Agreed! I walked in Team Jacob and left even more fired up Team Jacob! Much better than Twilight. I think both Taylor and Robert's acting is better in this one & I loved the scenes they're in together on the school yard and in the woods. The humor and silent tension of the scenes between Jacob and Alice & Jacob and Edward--PERFECT! Can't wait for Eclipse!
