I thought this post would jog my memory since I can't think of any saying that bother me, but I think I've said all of these at one time or another.

My mom says "that's neither here nor there" and "needless to say" all the time, and I hate it.

On TV when someone walks in and someone else says "What are you doing here?" and they say "I live here, remember?"
That line is so overdone. |

"whatever happened to that jjber so and so, where did he/she go, i miss them so much" etc. |

add me to "it is what it is" which is such a load of empty nonsense. it's what stupid people say when they want to look intelligent but cannot
formulate a valid thought. vanity fair once had an article about this very phrase and its implications.
i also don't like "I could care less" since in most cases, people mean "i couldn't care less." |

My coworker says "It happens", whenever someone is telling him something. It drives me NUTS. It's basically him saying he doesn't give a
shit.

I hate when people over 18 use the word "like" every other word. I met a guy at church--32 years old!--who did that. I think the muscles in my neck
were popping out around the 2 min mark.

Everything else can be changed or altered, so for instance, to say that the racial dynamic in this country "is what it is" isn't at all the same as saying 2 plus 2 equals 4 "is what it is". One is true always and one isn't. |

"never say never" I want to tell people who say that to STFU. You don't know how someone feels about something.

"do you know what I'm saying" - said by irritating co-worker every time she speaks to someone.
"I'll yak with you later" - said by my mother. ALL. THE. TIME. "I'll touch base soon" - said by my aunt. UGH i want them to all shut it. lol |
