I don't think EVERYONE is meant to be monogamous, but monogamy definitely can work and be successful. Too many examples of both it working and not to make
a blanket statement that people aren't meant for it or are. It's just one type of relationship status that people can choose to work with and believe
in.

As a male with a girlfriend whom I have every intention of marrying I've gotta say that it may be true for a lot of guys but you cant say EVERY guy. I love
my girlfriend with everything in me and would never want to do anything to hurt her and even if it were the case that nothing would happen and she wouldnt find
out I'D have to carry that around and she knows me well enough to know I cant do that... it's not in my nature.
As far as the "meant to be" I do believe people are meant to be. I however dont believe it just happens just because it's suppose to be that way, our lives are directed by the choices we may, we have free will. That's just my two cents |

Do you think the cheating/non monogamy thing is just men's nature, or are women just as naturally prone to it? or they also think about cheating and would
do it if they could get away with it as easily as men. (i think society still judges women who cheat more harshly then men who cheat)

Never cheated and never will. Stop generalizing. Plenty of men who are capable of being faithful. They're just nerdy like me so you women will never give
them a shot. :-/

I actually don't know anyone who's cheated, guy or girl. My parents have been married 36 years and never strayed, and my sister's been married over
10, and neither have cheated. I don't have any friends who've been cheated on, nor have they ever talked about any of their friends that have been
cheated on.
Oh, wait, I take that back. A high school teacher's husband slept with one of his (graduated) students. (He was also a teacher, and it was a big mess, and they ended up moving out of state.) But that's literally it. My point is, when most people make a commitment, they stick to it. There's just some douchebags who ruin it. Some people are immature and can't handle being an adult and the responsibility that comes with and cheat. |

You sound jaded
Cheating seems lazy in a way, if you don't put some effort in your relationship or don't take it seriously and you've got a wandering eye as it is, then no, it's probably not gonna work out lol We all have the potential to do shady things, yes. But that's a choice. Not everyone is going to act on that. |

I agree with the OP and the Chris Rock quote posted in the first page is one of the truest statements I've heard in a while.

i never cheated either and never will. i see these posts all the time but don't really comment. it's not really important to me if a message board
thinks all males cheat. but people who really know me know i'm not like that. i don't want to be the one to hurt someone.

While it is in a man's nature to sleep around (to spread the seed), as humans, we have the ability to reason. If any man can't use logic to keep his
dick in his pants, I don't want to be with him. Men can make the choice to be monogamous. If his natural instinct to sleep around is too strong, that's
perfect fine, but he shouldn't be in a relationship.
