My cousin is having his wedding on Thanksgiving. I wish he would move it to another day because I have to see other family members on the same day.

I'd never get married on a Thursday.

That's really rude unless you're having a small ceremony with close family members who'd normally be at Thanksgiving anyway.

I couldn't have a wedding on/near any major holiday.

I don't think Thanksgiving is as big of a deal here (in Canada). So I would consider having my wedding on that day, or at least that weekend because if
people are coming from out of town they may prefer to come on a long weekend. I think in the US though Thanksgiving is a much BIGGER deal so that is kind of
weird.

I don't think it's a big deal. I know someone who got married over Thanksgiving weekend, and I'm having my wedding on a major holiday (New
Year's Eve or Canada Day - for various reasons). I'd consider having my wedding over Easter weekend, too. Holidays just aren't a big deal to me,
other than Christmas of course.

If I don't like the idea of a wedding on Valentine's Day I sure as hell ain't into it on Thanksgiving!

No way. While I like the idea of a wedding AROUND the time of Thanksgiving because I think the browns/burnt oranges/reds fall colors are great for weddings, I
wouldn't do it on the holiday.

Well, keep in mind that in the future their anniversary will rarely, if ever, fall on Thanksgiving so at least it's only this one time.
