Heels are particularly a thing with that for me, because when I think of high heels I think of us women trying to improve our body lines, trying to be sexy and confident and all that... and I do think there is a certain connotation of age and sex to high heels that's alright for a teenager but not for younger kids. I'm not going to go off on Tom and Katie, just because I see it that way doesn't mean they have to, but it does make me uncomfortable. With some things I'd say that if you're thinking adult when looking at a kid doing it that says more about your mind than anything, but high heels... to me that's an adult image and an adult hang up with appearances that young kids don't need.
I guess I just feel like we're giving kids less and less of a childhood these days and turning them into little fashionistas is another way to shorten that
