See there is this guy that I meet on Facebook and we've been talking on facebook and texting each other. Well I'm starting to really like him but the
problem is we live 2 hours and 35 mins a part from each other. Since we live so far a part I don't see how this is going to work because we both work and
all and live far a part. Also I don't be having gas money like that to go and see him like that. Then part of me is like maybe I should just end it now I
man we live far a part we both have jobs I don't have money like to spend on gas to see him plus how much would we get to see other. So has anyone done a
long distance relationship before and has it worked out.

I think it's worth a shot and if it doesn't work out than at least you tried.
My sister has a Long Distance Relationship (still does). We live in Ontario and her now husband, lived in Erie. They dated for 5 years, engaged for 2 and are now married. They're still waiting for immigration to live in the same country and have been married over a year. |

Yeah I guess I'll just take it one day at a time. See where this goes you never know he may turn out to be the one for me who know. |

It was long distance until I moved to her city and now we share an apartment together. So yeah, it worked out. It's not that difficult if you make an
effort to see each other, talk on the phone, email, skype, etc...

If it's meant to be, it will all work out.

I'm in one right now. My boyfriend's in the army so he has to live near his base cause he works there and he's getting deployed in January. I'm
away at school so we're about 3 and a half hours apart. Not only that, he has to go to all these trainings and conferences and whatnot all over the country
so sometimes we don't get to see each other for months. That was really hard. But we both make the effort to go see each other when we can and we talk to
each other everyday. At the beginning of December will be our 2 year anniversary.
I don't think long distance is for everyone though. Some people just don't have the will power to stay monogamous. I have friends who has to be with someone all the time and if their SO is away, they get so tempted to cheat (and some have). So if you think you can do it, I say you go for it

People say LDR don't ever work out. I don't think that's true. I think many relationships regardless of distance don't work out! Look at our
divorce rate!
I honestly don't think that 2 1/2 hours is that bad at all if you can visit each other often. If you take turns visiting it can save the cost of traveling. |

I was in one for a year and it sucked hard even with the every-other-month visiting. But, the relationship still stands

I have had 2. they both ended- main reason (but not only, but main reason) being the distance. They both ended in heart break.
On the other side of the coin it is absolutely worth a shot. No one can tell you if you two can make it work besides you guys. You won't know until you try. |

I had two, one 2 hours away and the other several states away. It was like we were dating only when we had time to squeeze it in to our schedules, which may
have been more a function of who we were as people rather than the long distance relationship...but I would probably not enter one again unless the guy was
out-of-this-world perfect.

I was in one for 14 months, we lived in different countries. We live together now so it was worth it.
