By that I don't mean not having anything to be thankful for, I mean not attending/giving a holiday dinner? I plan on watching the parade and cleaning my
house so I can decorate for Christmas on Black Friday.

I don't want to, but unless I'm sick I'm sure I'll be forced to.
Come on, sickness!

I think I'm working during dinner. I might be able to catch it right before everyone leaves but we'll see...

we're just going out to a restaurant, which we've never done before. but all my siblings happened to make other plans this year, so it didn't make
sense to cook for just two.

There is obviously a lack of understanding here.
Thanksgiving = FOOD. Christmas = FOOD. |

I'm not. I wanted to work and surprisingly, no one watched to switch with me. So I'm going to stay home. Don't feel like going to my mom's or
my cousin's house who I was also invited to. I wont complain if someone drops me off a plate though. lol

I'm not speaking to my parents right now, so Thanksgiving dinner with them would be incredibly uncomfortable. I want to see my brother though.

Yeah, Im all about getting plates this year. If my ma aint around, especially because she is alive and I like her, it aint worth celebrating.

We had an argument about my uncle/aunt. My dad's siblings and their spouses are nuts, and he's always siding with them instead of his own children. My
mom does it too, and I just don't understand that behavior when they're clearly wrong. It really hurt my feelings this time, so I've been avoiding
their calls.

Are the aunt and uncle mad at you because you told me what you got the brats for Christmas and it's way more than they deserve.

No, they're not mad over the Christmas presents. They don't know about them yet. It's a long story.

We were supposed to go away for a few days but our plans got canceled. We're getting Turkey hoagies and going to the movies instead.
