It needs to be a specific event, like the Wells Fargo exec throwing parties in the bank owned Malibu beach house instead of trying to get it sold.

No, every one has already picked one event each. So 30+ events cannot be used.
Thanks, Dana! |

check the citations in your text book within the sections that address ethics for leads.

Planned Parenthood made gift certificates for "clinical services." It was spun, of course, that they were giving out gift certificate for abortion
services during the holidays. This was last year. It was a PR nightmare and was an interesting to me following the story.

It was a separate assignment!
That PP one sounds good, but it has to be April or more recent. |

How about filming Jon + Kate and the effect that the show is having on the kids?

How about revisiting an old case and talking about the effects 30 years later? Back in the 80s Nestle made a calculated decision to start heavily advertising
and selling baby formula in developing countries. Nestle was shady as hell telling women that formula was best and that they were actually doing their babies
a disservice by giving them breast milk. These poor women already living under difficult circumstances would have to mix the formula with water from dirty
wells and rivers. Babies were getting sick and dying at faster rates than if they were kept on the breast. Nestle knew this and kept pushing their products.
If you're interested there's a lot of info out there but I'd start with the WHO.

This was this year...
TRENTON -- Retail giant Target has agreed to pay $375,000 and alter its business practices in New Jersey as part of a settlement with the state. http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2009/11/target_reaches_375k_settlement.html Not that the newspaper is always accurate, but I'm sure you could look into the story more. |

Hiring biases towards candidates that graduated from the same alma mater as hirer ups. You can focus on how this could be viewed as just "networking"
which most companies now a days like people to do. However, this is a networking that can work for or against you - all depending on where you graduate from.

I guess I should use the word event instead of issue. It needs to be something specific, with a news/article to go along with it. The actual event in the
Target settlement took place in 2008 so it can't be used.
I think I may have found something, though. |
