No and I don't remember every trying to peek. I'll have to ask my mom if I did because it would be odd if I didn't.

Yep! To keep me from trying to see him. I remember when I was a little older, and figuring out that santa was really my parents. I stayed up, but pretended to
sleep when my dad checked to see if i was awake. Then I peeked around the corner to watch them wrap my presents.

I wasn't a dummy, I knew what was up. I had younger brothers though, so I was in with my parents to keep the fact that Santa was a secret. I will never
forget the day my little brother came into my room BAWLING his eyes out because he saw my dad setting up a computer and putting the presents under the tree. He
was so crushed.
I told him to shut up and watch Doogie Howser with me. |

I don't remember trying to find out if Santa was real or not.
My younger cousin went crazy trying to know the truth when she was a kid though. She decided to get hand writing samples from everyone in the family so she could match it with the tag from Santa. I guess she talked about it before because my aunt got their neighbour to write the 'from Santa' tags that year. |

No but somewhere I got the hint that is was like "bad luck" to see him.
I remember one year me and my brother left a note and we just knew either my mom or dad or grandmother signed it but we could never prove it because they wrote different on purpose. It was funny. |

Yeah. And I used to be afraid that if it took me too long to go to fall asleep Santa would just skip my house.

No, but my mom hated that I stayed up forever trying to see him. She stayed up all night a few times because it took me forever to go to sleep and she was
afraid if she went to sleep she wouldn't get back up before I did to put everything out. She probably should have just told me that if I didn't go to
sleep that he'd just skip me, but I don't even know if that would have worked

I always knew Santa was fake since I don't celebrate Christmas. But it was hard when I was a kid since there were kids who still believed in him to not
tell them he wasn't real. They also would always ask me if I was sad since Santa never visited my house.
