We've been researching, and she seems to fit most of the qualifications of an American Bobtail. She's an absolute hoot! Today we had to keep her
confined to the bathroom for 10 hours (the longest stretch of time since she's been with us), and she was absolutely wired when we got home and let her
out. Today's the first day she's willingly ventured into the dining room, living room & kitchen without immediately hiding under something or
scurrying back to the bathroom. She's really starting to get comfortable with us - it's great!
Oh, and we decided to call her Lena! These are from yesterday morning:

She's really cute! And I'm glad you saved her, but you just left the mother and the other babies? I would have never been able to do that. You could
have caught them all and brought them to a shelter. Or at least told a local shelter that they were there so they could have taken them in. If no one else
knows they're there, then how is anyone else going to save them? I think it's kind of selfish that you just took one for yourself and left the others
to just starve and be homeless and continue to reproduce.

That's a big presumption on your part, muzik.
No, I didn't catch her, and neither did my sister. A coworker did. My sister and I have known they were out there for a few weeks (they ran any time we got near them, but we did leave food just to be sure they had some), and we made sure a lot of our coworkers knew about them too. So when a coworker managed to catch Lena (but only Lena, the others fled) on Tuesday, we were the first people she called, and we jumped at the opportunity to take her. I went outside earlier today looking for any others in the place Lena was caught, and also in the area where they used to spend most of their time, but I didn't see any of them. My coworkers know to attempt to catch any of them if they can, because we've already got at least 3 volunteers to take them.

More people should rescue cats! i would have 20 of them if i could lol. No tail? i hadn't heard of that! kinda cool.

I need to post more pics tonight. I still can't get over how tiny and fluffy she is! We keep calling her "the puppy," because she's so little
and about as fluffy as a pomeranian.

That little girl is so cute! Mine looked like that as a kitten... now she's a 15 year old grandma, with one missing tooth and deaf but still the best
snuggle buddy.
