i'm pretty sure that the 8GB doesn't come with the latest software update that makes it run faster unlike the 32GB or 64GB. And i'm not sure if the
8GB comes with the volume controls/microphone. but it is cheaper. It really depends if you have a lot of songs or not. I have a 32GB and i love it!

The 8GB doesn't come with the mic and remote. I'd pay the extra and get the 32GB. Just got one and I'm in love.

What exactly do you do with the mic?
I have a 4gb Nano that's my best friend.  My sister just got an iPhone and playing around with that finally convinced me to upgrade.

Does the microphone really work? I haven't used mine but it feel kinda skimpy.
Go with the 32GB. I love mine. Eight GB wouldn't have been enough for my music, let alone all the extra stuff I wanted to put on it. |

I got the 8 free with my macbook this summer and it's annoying b/c I cant fit half my music on it- let alone put on all the cool apps I want. go fo rthe
bigger one for sure!

I have an 8GB. I love it, but its also the first generation one, I've had it for almost 2 years now. Though, I am running out of room. If you can spare the
extra $100 for 32GB, yeah, I'd go for it.

if you can afford the 32 go w/ that. No sense in going smaller when you can afford more. By the time you get the software on there you are down to about 6 or 7
gigs anyways. Thats not a whole hell of a lot when you add movies, shows, music, apps, etc.

Definitely buy the 32. 8gb is fine if you use it just for music but if you also want to watch tvshows and movies on it, its not enough.

Interjecting that I just bought the 160GB ipod classic. I've only been able to load it up w/ 27GB of music thus far. I'm glad to have all the room.
