A co-workers brother died this weekend and I bought her a sympathy card. I don't just wanna sign it and have the generic message in it, but I'm not
good with words during times like these. Can someone suggest something nice and comforting for me to write? It can simply be a small quote of some sort
(non-religious preferably) or just some of your own words of wisdom from JJB.
Any help is appreciated.
What should I write in this sympathy card?

What about merely saying that you're sorry for her loss and that you'll keep her and her family in your thoughts?

That was my initial thought, but I was afraid I would come off generic or phony.

I think you say something like, you will be praying for strength for her loved ones and if there's anything you can do for them to not hestitate. You can
make it simple and short. You don't have to write a whole big paragraph.....
