NewLook is from the Uk right? They have a biggirlssection.
I understand what you mean about normal clothes in bigger sizes. You dont even have to be very overweight when you are tall and broad built (like I am) to not fit in normal sizes. The differences in shape between normal and plussize clothes is insane. I would love to buy normal tailored blouses, but they just dont exist outside the normal sizes. Plussize=always wide. Looks almost like maternitywear. |

Well, whether OP is grateful or not, I am! I'm a size 20, from the US, and I'm always on the look out for cute clothing stores that carry my size.
Thanks for all the links.

Also, try Old Navy's plus -- and there's a site - http://www.biggirlsbrowse.com/blog/ devoted to plus
fashion.
Then there's F21's plus line, Faith 21... they just extended their sizes to 3x for some items, and while they're still cut small, knits stretch. |

Forever 21's Faith line is cute. I like their stuff.
Would you ever consider maternity fashion if your body is apple shape? |

Different strokes I guess...she's 17 and girls smaller than her ask where she gets her stuff from because they love it. Be thankful that people carry and have stores for women with curves. |

This is ugly?
I used to shop at Lane Bryant WAY back in the day (when I was bigger and that about 7-8 years ago) and they have always had some nice and trendy looking clothes. A little pricey, but I was glad to finally wear some really nice stuff. |

As long as it looks nice i dont care when i get it from lol dollewail wrote:New Look has really good things, but their Plus section is very small unfortunately. Bought 2 top there yesterday tho! gorgeous once and bloody reduced :P And for those who think there are only the type of clothes from the website i have been given :

Yes, i LOVE tunics and i've got quite a few! Anything from Bon Prix, I love 90% of that website and I dont understand why shops can't have these kind of clothes that ANY skinny person would wear - in a big size. But clearly they do exist. Will spend some nice money after xmas i guess! Thanks for the few nice replies tho. |

I quickly glanced at the Fashion Bug sight (had no idea they were still around) and that stuff is cute! It's all pretty basic, but it looks like you could
make it more modern/fashion forward with cute accessories. Maybe you need to stop looking at these websites as a "whole" and actually look at the
items individually.

It's not really the massive clothes chains fault you're overweight. It's not like it's 'a crime' to be overweight (although it is
unhealthy), it's just there probably isn't a big enough demand for plus-sized clothing for them to justify creating a whole line. You sound really
bitter.

DirrtySteph wrote: Because maybe a big size should be wearing the same clothes as a skinny person? If I saw a plus size person wearing those shirts and walked by me I would be thinking "What the hell was she thinking?" I'm a size US 16 and those shirts wouldn't look good on me even. *Dumb formatting errors* |

I exclusively shop at Torrid, Old Navy, Target, and now Forever 21. I'm an 18/20 and find things just fine. I'm not sure if there is international
shipping but have you looked at any of those sites?

adreayoung wrote:Yeah, I'd have to agree, and I used to be a US 20/22. Flowy/babydoll-ish looking tops generally make big girls look like pregnant blimps wearing tents. Hell, usually only skinny people can get away with wearing crap like that and actually make it look halfway good. The reason that they aren't generally available in plus-sizes is that most fat chicks want to disguise their excess weight as much as possible and look SMALLER, not emphasize it and make themselves look even larger. |

One of my assistants is larger, a uk 26 and she shops at ebay, sometimes I hate her because I love what she wears, but they only do plus sizes.
