I had applied for a job at a company about 4 weeks ago. About two weeks later, I got an e-mail from the employer saying that position had been filled but they
had another position available at a different location in my area. Long story short, she offered me an interview which I accepted but over Christmas weekend I
decided I didn't want to position anymore and e-mailed her saying I was no longer interested (I realize some people might think what I did was wrong since
I should've gone for the interview being unemployed but I honestly did not want to waste their time or mine because I thought about the pro's and
con's of the position/driving distance/pay over Christmas weekend and decided it wasn't the job for me, especially since it wasn't the position I
originally applied for. It would've been over an hour commute there just one way and the pay wasn't good enough for me to drive two hours every day to
and from work).
Anywho, on the unemployment website it asks if you turned down a "job referral" which is pretty much what I did. When I click "yes", it asks for all of the employer's information/phone number/reason I turned down the referral, ect. and I'm worried if I fill this out someone is going to contact this employer. Will my unemployment be dropped or cut down because I turned down one job referral? Or should I just check "no" and hope that unemployment never notices
