I don't think it's that terrible to overdose on drugs...

I suppose it sort of makes sense in a weird way, but at the same time, doing drugs isn't exactly a great way to die. I mean, only idiotic people do illegal
drugs and there really isn't anything dignified about dying from an OD.

Yeah...I wouldn't choose pills. It seems painful and horrible and drawn out. No thanks.

Uh, drug overdose is not fun. I've experienced it myself and was wishing i hadn't been so stupid and that it'd be over soon.

You seem to think that overdosing just involves sort of falling asleep or passing out and then dying. Hell no, there's usually lots of pain and vomit
involved.
Whereas with other deaths, such as violent car crashes or something, death is instantaneous with less suffering. |

Didn't read the entire thread, so this was all probably said already.
But, I think it depends on the person and how their body handles the drugs. Some people just drift off to sleep and never wake up. While others go through HOURS of intense pain, vomiting, shitting, etc... before their organs finally shut down. I do agree that I would not want to die in a car accident or fire or something like that. But I would be afraid if I took the drugs, I would just get violently sick and wouldn't have the balls to go through with it. |

I guess I can see how having seizures & more than likely choking on your own vomit at the same time could seem to be a much better death.Yeah.

I would guess some of it would depend on what type of drug you are using.

At least with a fire eventually your brain would shut down the pain. It won't do that when you overdosed on drugs which triggers your brain, heart, etc etc

Maybe dying from an overdose would be less painful to the person, maybe not. My thought would be that my parents would rather me die in a car crash then from
an overdose. A fire, car crash or other ways to die you mentioned aren't, for the most part, aren't intentional but an overdose could have been
prevented by the individual's choice not to take drugs.

I highly doubt anything is worse than burning to death.

I overdosed once and it's a miracle I'm alive. But I just drifted off and was revived at the hospital, When I came to it was like time just skipped and
I didn't know what had happened. They had to stick a needle in my chest to revive me, like an adrenaline shot to get my heart going. But I agree with you.
It was peaceful.

If you get shot in the face or drive your car into a pole at 150 mph or something, you'd probably die a lot more quickly and less painfully.

to leave the house!

I heard this before and laughed... " I want to die in my sleep like my granddad did, Not screaming, crying and holding on like the rest of the people in
his car."
I either want something quick/instant or to go peacefully in my sleep. |

BlueEyedWhorah, what did you overdose on? That might be why you just drifted to sleep and didn't have the usual OD symptoms.

The Great Danton wrote:Yeah I figured. Just thought I'd share my experience. I mean, if you see the body of someone that overdosed and died it isn't pretty but that doesn't mean it was painful and horrible. The drugs most likely make you pass out cold before you experience that stuff. Fluids come from every hole in your body, pores, mouth, etc. When I was found I was soaking wet. Just wanted to say it was an accidently OD, not suicide. Anyway, my cousin found her mom and the description made me so sick. I'd still rather die that way. |

chocolate covered raisins wrote:Pain killers. Thats why I said it probably depends on what kinda pills you OD on. Like if its something like adderall, I doubt that would be fun. You'd be awake and experience the entire thing. And if you OD on pain killers, they just have to give you a shot of adrenaline to get your heart going again, idk how you could survive from an upper. |
