Ooooh, that sounds so pretty. People hate on the suburbs, but I've always been a fan.

Yall are starting to make me miss my home! So many familiar places, places that I hated when I moved back there but kind of long for now.

CrunkCrazy4NSync wrote:Chester County FTW! The R5 runs out here, and there is a lot of affordable housing when you get in the Exton-Downingtown-Coatesville area. It's a pretty area, and there are a lot of things to do. Plus, if you don't feel like going all the way into the city, West Chester is very close. |

I live about 10 mins from West Chester!
But I agree, the Exton/Downingtown area is nice. |

Norristown is nicer up toward West Norriton, thats where the Leave It To Beaver vibe is, E. Norriton is actually really nice too. It's not that pricey either.

Bethy12 wrote:I know, it's really funny how many of us live in the Philadelphia suburbs - specifically Chester and Montgomery Counties! We probably pass each other in the mall and don't even realize it. ![]() I also want to add to my original post - you don't want to live in the actual city of Coatesville. It's not a very nice area. The outlying area is good, though. |

As a Philly girl, there are partsof Philly that seem like the suburbs. There are very nice affordable apartments/condos way up in the northeast bordering on the suburbs. Manayunk can be expensive, Allentown is too far out. Abington/Jenkintown are nice as is Huntington Valley. There's also nice places in Conshohockon and parts of Norristown are very nice.

Royersford is pretty awesome. My brother used to live there and I am bummed he moved. It's about 15 minutes away from the King of Prussia mall but everything you need is right there! Now I don't know how much it costs to live there but at the time my brother was making an okay salary so it couldn't have been that ridiculous.
stay away from Allentown though... it sucks! |

Allentown is full of crazy people and it is boring there. There is nothing to do there. There are serial killers in Allentown. I would get approached in the parking lot at supermarket asking me to give a ride. Stay far away!

I've probably passed one of you guys at least once!

I've been there just once I think, and yeah, nooooo. As for Norristown, I don't spend any time there. It's between Philly and King of Prussia though, which is where one of the world's largest malls is located. But the commute around KOP is rather irritating.

Although, that road is the devil, so maybe it's a good thing.
