Milk jugs can be recycled as well. The only people who don't recycle them are the people who don't recycle period.
I'll stick to my American jugs. At least we can tightly close them. WTF with the clothes pin in the fridge to close up milk? No thanks to the bags. |

I grew up on milk in a bag and I have lived in southern Wisconsin my entire life. They are only sold at a gas station called Kwik Trip and I don't know how many other states have Kwik Trip. The bags were sold individually and were not clear and you got a free pitcher at KT. I don't think we ever closed the bag or pinched it, it just sat in the fridge open and I never tasted anything different. It was also a lot cheaper to buy then plastic gallons.

Growing up in Costa Rica, we had milk in a bag. Not a big deal. Moved to US and now use the cartons.

I think the milk bags vs jugs debate goes on at least once a month.
We don't use a close pin to close the bag of milk. Half the time it's not the fridge long enough to even need to close it, and we don't open a new bag until we use it. |

Gee ... all those years I've been buying milk in a bag and I never ever put a clothes pin on the cut end!

Milk bags are just so counterintuitive! Like bags of any sort of liquid!
