No doubt curling irons and flat irons both damage hair. When flat ironing, even if you trim the dead ends it still causes crazy fly-aways and breakage, even if you use product.
I admire that Taylor doesn't always feel the pressure to flat iron her hair because everyone thinks it's "boring and always looks the same." Look at someone like Jen Aniston, Demi Moore, Angelina Jolie, their hair always looks the same and no one ever says... oh their stick straight hair, it's boring, it always looks the same.
