Since we don't actually seem to have any professional sports teams (VA) a lot of the time I don't care who wins.
Would you start rooting for a different team for your SO?

No way. There are a few football teams I like, but I'm a diehard Atlanta Braves fan and could never switch my baseball team. I've loved them since birth.
