Seeing Jeff and Jordan in that commercial made me want to throw my remote at the TV. They've now ruined The Amazing Race.

I think halftime isn't the mainpoint of the show, but if you want to keep more people tuned in during the breaks, then they need to cater to more than just people who remember The Who in their prime. An audience of 100+ million is definitely more diverse than an audience of 10 million.

And really who do the producers think Janet is, her prime was in the mid 90's and she is by no means as current at the time of the halftime show as say Michael was during his halftime show. Sometimes I wonder what would have been if Beyonce chose to perform the halftime show and not the national anthem. Damn...I Looooooovvvvvveeeee "The Who" the movie "Tommy" will always be my shit but I didn't know was performing or even watched. They still need to mix it up with some current artists like they always used to. They actually had amazing shows before long before MTV took over, though the MTV heavily produced shows weren't that bad. And I may sound a little bitter because that was year NC Panthers finally got to the Super Bowl. They were in the lead and after the halftime show I don't what happened. I think they got distracted by the pastie on the nipple. That damn nipple....DAMN DAMN DAMN!!

I don't know much about the legendary rock bands. I recognize the names (i.e. The Who, Def Leppard, etc.), but couldn't name you their catalog or anything further than that. And while I do enjoy music from that genre, I grew up on Motown, old-school R&B, Soul, Funk, hip-hop, etc. It'd be interesting to see how people would react to some of those legends.
