*hugs* kitten.
It's hard when the teachers don't understand especially. At 62 he wasn't going to freeze to death going into the building. If he was that cold I'm sure he would have found a way to let you know.
I have the utmost respect for you. It's hard enough with my step-daughter and I've often found myself thinking that at least she isn't Autistic. (sorry that sounds really bad). She was born without half her cerebellum, is mentally retarded (thanks for that reference Audrey you're making yourself look better and better), and has behavioral problems. I know on some scale what you're dealing with, but I'm not sure I could handle it to your degree, I commend you.
Audrey, learn how to use google before you type.
My sons school can sure get under my skin

I never understand why people who don't even have a family are always the first ones to judge and give criticism on parenting.

Good thing I was born before they started diagnosing everyone with Autism.

The fact that Audrey seems to have no idea that her comments could be seen has hurtful (lack of social interaction cues) coupled with her sensory issues it's possible that she may have Asperger's or a type of high functioning autism. Of course there are other indicators but maybe she could discuss it with her doctor and get a late diagnosis.
