An ultrasound could show a few things that would be considered markers for Downs but it wouldn't be remotely definitive and she may not have had any of those markers.
They're all measurements they take, if something measures too large (nunchal fold, for example) or too small (the nasal bone), they are cause for concern and the doctor may recommend an amnio to be sure. But ultrasound measurements are SO inexact that even if she had those markers present they may have measured normal on the ultrasound. |
