I'm surprised so many people picked singing. I guess I don't think it's impressive because it seems to be something someone is born with. They just have that talent and if you don't have it, no amount of training will get you there. I'm impressed by people who strive for something, work hard, and succeed. So I pick writing

Writing or acting.
Writing because the idea of being able to concoct and flesh out characters and create images and feelings with words is so interesting to me. Acting, well good acting |

I'm impressed with something that not many people can do even if they try, not something many people can do if they put their mind to it.

I don't understand some of you saying you can train/be taught to be a talented writer, dancer, actor. If that's the case Jessica Alba can train her way to acting glory, Sarah Palin is a couple of writing exercises away from writing a literary classic, and 90% of Youtube dance videos just need a semester at Julliard. All the training in the world is not going to make you a talented if you don't actually possess the talent. You may not be completely terrible, you may even be technically accurate, but talent is something that's honed not taught.

I picked writing, but dancing is a close second. I've always said that if I could have any one component of the "triple threat," I would have to go with dancing.

Vocal coaches show you how to use your already good voice to the best of your ability, but you have to be born with the voice first. No vocal coach can teach you to sing if you don't have the natural talent to back it up.... |

Dancing. The people that are able to do it exceptionally well are completely mesmerizing to me.

You can become a good singer. I have a friend who couldn't sing worth a damn & now has one of the nicest voices I've ever heard, all with training.
Writing is tough. Anyone can write, but how many can come up with extremely good content over & over? |

I disagree, I think acting can be taught completely.

Anything can be taught, that doesn't make the student good or talented at it. Jessica Alba and Paul Walker are prime examples of people who have received training/coaching for acting but can't act worth a damn.
