A friend of mine tried this. He wasn't arrested or anything crazy, they just rejected his tax return and sent him a letter saying he needed to amend them. Good luck.

I've heard of people doing this and it's NOT legal! If you get audited or if they find out you are lying, you could be in serious trouble.

I figured as much. My friend decided to do that this time round. I didn't tell her I didn't think it was a good idea because I kind of figured she knew that. She wants $$ and it made her return big so yeah..
