I expected more people to be on Facebook tonight, but they're not. And there's not a lot of people chit chatting on the board. And I'm bored and a bit stir crazy from all this snow. Hi JJB. What's up?

I'm so jealous of all the snow! Gah all we're getting is rain. I was home in December when it snowed and started to build a dog house but the snow melted before I was done.

I just took some pix so the rest of the country can see what we're dealing with here
![]() ![]() It's crazy how light the sky is when there's this much snow. It's like a full moon when everything's just so freakin' lit up ![]() I live on a main road so you can see how much plowing has been done and how deep it is from the other night. I took this one cuz I love the snow on my neighbors trees. ![]() It's not even coming down that big or hard, as seen here, but in the last four or five hours we've already accumulated a shitload of snow, on top of the 2' we got Friday into Saturday. Oh Mother Nature. You slay me.

The snow is coming down real slow here.

My home is the Philly/SJ area. I went to Old City about a week after the storm and was surprised the roads and sidewalks still sucked. I fell on the ground while walking my dog.

Haha, last snow storm EVERYBODY was on FB...not a lot are on my FB list either. Although, it is 2:30 AM! I don't go to sleep until late most of the time, but when it snows I really can't sleep. Must be the little kid coming out in me!

une reine, yeah a good friend of mine has an apt down there and he's been bitching about how the cleanup is going. I know some streets in South Philly haven't been plowed whatsoever from the last storm. I feel so bad for them tonight.

It's so pretty! If I was home though, I'd probably quit my job again. There's a 95% chance the mall will be open tomorrow.

Where did you work? I worked in retail (not a big mall) during the snow in December and they wanted me to walk to work since I only live two miles away

They wanted me to work that first day of the storm when the roads still had 2 feet of snow because they hadn't been plowed. I quit after that but I'm per diem anyway so I'll be back for Spring Break.

Yea, I was in S. Philly today to visit my cousin, and I was amazed at how the roads were!! I suck at parallel parking, and I was about to call her and be like... how the hell am I supposed to park in this mess??? But luckily I found a big enough spot to pull in!!

lid, I'd do the same! But hopefully you don't end up with an angry note on your windshield
LMAO I like that. If I took public trans I'd do the same. I have a car though, and I always tell them I'm too scared to drive it. Which is true. I hate my car in snow. How are they gonna call and change their minds as you're leaving for work? And I bet that 20 minutes of walking was only like a block or two, wasn't it? |

Yeah, it usually takes me 10 minutes to get to the bus stop and I wasn't even halfway there when they called! I was actually late because the buses were an hour behind and I didn't anticipate having to work so if I was on time, I would've been at the mall already. I was also scared the buses would stop running before the mall closed and I would've been stuck there over night or something!

Yeah my biggest fear working retail was always being trapped in the store overnight. It's one thing when you're doing a floorset, but snow? No gracias

I know! And the stupid food court likes to close an hour before the mall does so I would've been stuck with cold Cinnabon. Yay. How long do you usually have to stay after the store closes?

Our overnights went anywhere from five to seventeen hours long, no joke

Ours usually took between 3-4 days but I think our company changed it to where we had to do it during business hours which sucked and was a mess. One time I worked from 2p-2a and I only clocked out because I went to Wendy's and when I came back, I just sat down, ate, and then left.

Every since Oregon had a "snow storm" last night I've been over snow. There is only so much you can do when you're stuck inside for more than two days at a time.

Yeah we were hoping working more than 8 hours would mean overtime. No dice.
You can clean a lot!! |
