Posts: 301 (06/14/2008 10:53 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	okay so now i have very few pieces of makeup and im not too big about makeup but i want to be so of course shopping for makeup is necessary however i have no idea what the hell to buy can you please list some things that are makeup must haves (ex: mascara, powder, etc.) when i say must have its not bc the color is to die for but im asking for basic must-haves thanks

Even though it is hyped up, the Shu Uemura is the best one out there. Yes it is expensive (about 20 bucks), but I think it's totally worth it. Mascara like you said is essential as well. There are a million different ones out there and you just gotta try some out and see what you like best. But here the best one might not be the 30 dollar Dior one, but the 6 dollar drugstore brand. Clear lip gloss is another really good one to have as well. I know Wet n' Wild has one for like 99 cents, and there is always the MAC clear lipglass if you want a higher end one. Hope this helps.

Eyeshadow Eyeshadow primer (you don't NEED this, but I highly recommend it) Eyeliner Mascara Foundation Powder Concealer Blush Bronzer if you like the tan/bronze look. Otherwise you can skip this. Lipliner Lipstick Lipgloss I agree with himazima...a clear lipgloss would be good to start with. I would also try a sheer neutral pinky color.

I recommend the following: concealer (Almay and L'Oreal make good ones) powder foundation (unless you have very dry skin, this is a good start for makeup beginners.) lipgloss! (Great start for beginners. If you want more color on your lips, go for either sheer lipstick or tinted lipbalm or Bonne Bell Lip Smackers.) good eyelash curler (either Shu Uemura or Shiseido: these cost more than drugstore ones, but they will curl your eyelashes better and will not rip off your lashes.) mascara (lots of good ones from drugstores. I personally love Max Factor mascaras.) That's a good start for someone new to makeup. Once you get used to makeup and see what looks good on you, you can add other things like eyeliner (stick to pencils and avoid liquid: liquid eyeliners are easy to mess up.), eyeshadows and blush.
