I have been reading through some posts and see that people say they're going to go back to a book and read it again.
I have never read a book a second time. I feel abnormal now
Also, do you guys keep your books? I give mine away. I would keep them if I had more space in my room, but I don't. I gave 20 books to my 2nd grade
teacher this year, she was sooo happy! (all Dean Koontz)
Do you ever read a book again?

I re-read books all the time and I keep them as well. I get attached to books I really enjoyed.

I gave my Twilight book to my friend Maija because I want her to read it so I can have someone to talk to about it (and also because she is engaged to a Cullen
so I want her to name her children after the characters

Occasionally but usually I read new stuff because there's so much out there I haven't read yet. I've been rereading some favorites from when I was
younger from time to time though. I've found that time gives me a different perspective and I enjoy them more now than I did then

I have. Not often, though.

Yes, there are certain books that I read over and over. Let's see.... I read To Kill a Mockingbird about once a year, and I've read Jane Austen books
more than once. Usually it's the classics.
I also re-read Harry Potter books to get ready for new books and movies coming out. I have tried to just get in the habit of buying books that I will read again. Or books that I get signed. Otherwise, I just don't have the space. I have a huge collection of children's picture books in my classroom because I love those!

I plan on reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy again, but I probably never actually will. And I keep all of my books.

I re-read all the time if I like a book enough

I give away my books. I just sent a box of books to linneaRosie for like...8 bucks. I think there were 27 books in there.
I've reread a few books, but not many. I reread my favorite Vonnegut books every couple of years. And I plan on reading Everything is Illuminated again soon because I can barely remember it, but I know I loved it. |

I re-read my books ALL the time.
I don't think I can count the number of times I've read/re-read books like the Harry Potter series, the Green Rider series, The Hero and the Crown, the Blue Sword, the Ghatti Tales series along with many MANY others. I also have never given any of my books away, they're too much like old friends, when I re-read them -- sinking back into their pages, revisiting their worlds, greeting characters like I would an old buddy... I love it. The only reason I might get rid of one is the need to replace it with a newer copy (some of my older paperbacks are, how should we say, well worn? *lol* I have a couple whose pages are threatening to fall out) |

Sure. I've re-read The Catcher in the Rye like a billion times. I've read some others over too, but never as much as I've read that one.

If I like the book enough, I'll re-read it.

I didn't have access to a library for about ten years. So yeah, I reread a lot.
A few series of favorites have become almost like therapy. Feeling down or stressed? Get out my Melanie Rawn books. I've never given a book away. I should really clear out my library a bit before moving it 400 miles, but I don't know how to let go. |

I reread books all the time. I have at least a thousand books... probably more. I keep them everywhere - the kitchen, the bathroom, my room and the majority in
my office.
I try to only buy books I'll reread, but occasionally, I slip up and buy one that I won't reread EVER (Jennifer Weiner... I'm looking at you) and I end up giving those away. |

I've reread almost all of my books - in fact, off the top of my head the only book I own that I haven't reread are Lisey's Story by Stephen King
and The Power of One.
Like someone above said, it's all about sinking back into the story and the characters. And sometimes finding something new that wasn't noticed on the first or second read. And yeah, I keep all my books. |

I keep my books, unless I didn't like the book, and then I'll donate it or give it to a friend.
I usually go a year or so between re-reading -- that way I can forget what happened. Lately, though, I've been broke so I've been using the library religiously. Perk is that it doesn't add any books to my already over-stocked collection. |

i've re-read quite a few books. I keep all my books. I have my own lil library in my apt. I'm not a saver with anything except 4 books. And I very
rarely lend them out to people. I will usually lend almost anything i own out and don't think twice about it, but I'm a lil crazy when it comes to my
books. i love them
