was as highly anticipated as Justin Timberlake. Indeed, it seemed almost every star on the red carpet was most excited to see the former boy bander take the
stage. "'Cause he's hot," explained Elizabeth Banks.
Mary J. Blige agreed. "Justin is the bomb," said the chanteuse. "And he's very, very cute."
Of course, not everyone had the same bias. Duffy, who was part of the evening's lineup, copped to an interest in Rihanna. "We actually met once," she said of the "Umbrella" singer, "while shopping at Barneys, the strangest of places." Vera Wang, for her part, was there to see Blondie, though the designer admitted it would be hard to relax given her impending show. "There will be hand-wringing tonight," Wang said, "but I've been wringing my hands all summer."
After the show, revelers headed across the street to the Rainbow Room, where Carey joined hubby Nick Cannon, Chase Crawford chatted with "Gossip Girl" castmate Taylor Momsen, and man of the hour Timberlake held court in a back banquette with Kid Rock until midnight.

i remember a while ago Mary J. saying about a duet with Justin : 'Trust me,it will happen' or something like that.what happened? does anybody
else know anything else about that? and i can't wait to see his performance with Beyonce. i'm glad she was his special guest.
