My computer doesn't have Microsoft Word and I don't have the money to buy it. Does anyone know of any free programs that I can download that are
similar to Word that will let me type up documents and still be able to open up Word attachements that people send me?

Google Docs: http://docs.google.com
Everything is saved online that you write, plus it will open any MS Office attachment. It has a word processor, spreadsheet, and power point. |

You're welcome! It's really a great free option for people who don't have MS Office.
