Crazy as in they act like they've never driven in it or dressed for cold temps before. Yes, it may be a little earlier to be getting snow, but
hell...it's not a phenomenon in Pennsylvania!
Today on the road people were driving 5 miles below the speed limit, even though it was just a cold rain. Now, my father is flipping the fuck out over what
gloves/scarf/earthings I'm going to wear Saturday to the football game to stay warm. Hello, Dad, I'm 23 years old and have been going to football games
since birth. Not only do I know by now how to dress for cold weather, but also cold weather football games. (Although now alcohol is involved in keep warm at
the latter...)
What is it about cold/snow weather that turns people crazy?

I think the first time of the season is like that for everyone because it's been so long since the last shitty driving experience.

HOLY CRAP the people on the Pnorth were unfriggin believable! In the far left lane going 10 under speed limit. I'm all for being cautious but damn do that
shit in the right lane

It's not even just snow, even when it rains people act like they forgot how to drive. It's fucking annoying! Stay home if you're afraid to drive in
it!

They were driving like morons this morning when it was congested and we were at like 25mph with that light spitting rain. Dude had 400 yards between him and
the car ahead of him. PEOPLE WERE PISSED.

My car sucks in the snow. I would probably get killed if I took it out. So when it snows I stay off the roads as much as possible.
But I was very upset to find it snowing in OCTOBER! |

The one thing I still don't get about Pittsburgh drivers, is when it is actually snowy conditions with ice, why they still come to a FULL stop at a stop
sign when it's on an uphill. If you live here, you should know by now the only way to keep going up the hill is to keep momentum going...everyone has to
slow it down a bit so stopping isnt needed.

Well we have people going Way TOO fast in bad driving conditions in PA, and then they end up getting in a accident and backing up traffic for hours. I'd
rather people go a little slower then driving like a bat out of hell and causing a accident. JMO.

I think "bad conditions" though are severely exaggerated by drivers in the Burgh though. I grew up in Pittsburgh, went to college in Erie, and after
moving back to Pittsburgh I laugh at what people think bad road conditions are for their vehicles.

When I lived in NC, if there were even a few flakes of snow, people were like
They did not know what to do with theirselves. |

Sweetie1384 wrote:I think we have the same amount who drive way too slow in those conditions too. The ones that cause themselves more problems and others because they've slowed down and become cautious too much. I'm not talking mash the pedal drive through a snow bank but you need a safe speed to keep the car moving and some people don't realize that and there they go sliding off the side of the road or into someone because they don't have that little bit of traction they need. The thing is people don't follow the rules of the road. The left lane isn't a driving lane it is a passing lane. It is not the lane you get in when you are having problems or feel you need to drive way, way, way under the speed limit. It is not a lane to drive in because you like it and then slow down as you see fit. People are way too worried about themselves and don't give a damn about others on the road. Both driving way to fast and way to slow! And we need to not address the tunnel situation. Do you know how glad I am that I am north? NO EFFING TUNNELS |

OH GOD the tunnels....bane of my existence anytime I'm trying to get the south side/north side anytime that isn't between 10pm and 4am. How hard is to
read the signs that tell you before the tunnel, only one lane is going straight, the right lane is a turning lane.
