i'll try to make this short.. my friend introduced me to one of her family friends this spring and we really hit it off. By summer I was working for his
dad, hanging out with him every day, and seeing his family 4-5xs a week. him and i were a bit more than just friends but it was never anything serious. During
the summer my friend invited me to go on an annual trip with her family, his family and a few other families. Fast forward to now, things have gotten more
serious w/ him.. we're leaving for the trip on saturday, and my friend blows up at me saying she's had a crush on him since she was 6, she hates him
and i together, she doesn't want to see him when we're down there (we're the only 3 under 40 going) because him and i together makes her sick,
she's gonna be in a bad mood all week but "she'll deal", etc etc etc. then I saw her mom and SHE gave me an attitude!
I'm like WTF.. this has come out of nowhere, I asked her when she introduced us if she had any objections and she didn't, plus has been into his best friend FOREVER (the 4 of us would hang out all the time) and all of a sudden, 3 days before the trip and like 7 months later she's all hurt and upset, has been in love with him all these years, can't stand the sight of us, AND her mothers pissed? I have noo idea what to do. If I cancel the ticket I'm out $500, if i get my own room in the resort it'll cost $800 that I don't have, and i'm not gonna suck it up and never see him to make her happy.
If I go and stay in the room with her like was planned I have to deal with her attitude, never wanting to see him, her mother jumping on the bandwagon, and me being PISSED at her for guilt tripping me and putting me in this situation. I get it.. it sucks she had a crush on him and that didn't happen and now she's seeing it happen with us, but that is not my fault after she spent 7 months ENCOURAGING it!!
